Seals Eastern's 7182^TM brand formulated AFLAS provides outstanding resistance to sour gas, as well as high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, also known as H2S. Equally important, 7182 Aflas withstands the amine inhibitors used to mitigate corrosion in the presence of H2S. Whereas most rubber seals will experience excessive hardening and subsequent failure in low concentrations (ppm) of hydrogen sulfide, 7182 brand Aflas exhibits outstanding resistance to concentrations of in excess of 60%. The following data compiled by Element Materials Technology, a third party testing lab, illustrates the robustness of 7182 brand Aflas in high concentrations of H2S, even at elevated temperatures (200°C).
